War has been described as “an active state of confusion.” In a time of growing global conflict, ‘Sleepwalkers’ hovers over our ambivalent relationship with violence as a species. It navigates through the chaos of the disturbed mentality of the West, while unraveling our capacity for both aggression and compassion. Chaotic dream imagery emerges in a pervasive fog-of-war, as performers merge dance, theater, and live music in a grim vision that challenges us to make sense of the proverbial monkey on our back.

 

In a unique format, this full-length piece places the audience at the center of the stage for a radically immersive experience, born from the collaboration between La Macana and Mute Comp. Physical Theatre.
